Walk on White benefits Sister Season in March

Walk on White’s next art stroll will take place on Thursday, March 20, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Launched in 1999 to promote and celebrate Key West’s mid-town galleries and showcase the range and caliber of their artists, WOW has evolved and expanded, and now also includes multiple White Street district businesses and destinations that will open their doors to the arts loving public. Additionally, the WOW organization is now leveraging the event’s popularity by serving as a fundraising vehicle for local non-profit organizations.

One of Key West’s most popular ongoing art stroll experiences, art lovers can explore more than 20 WOW destinations showcasing the works of painters, photographers, sculptors, ceramic and mixed media artists, and artisan jewelry makers while enjoying beautiful island architecture, exhibit openings, creative demonstrations, musical, literary and performance offerings, as well as libation and food samples.

Each WOW event benefits a local non-profit organization, with Stone Soup Gallery at 802 White St., hosting March’s fundraiser. Raffle tickets for a chance to win a prize basket of goodies donated by area businesses and vendors will be available at the location, with proceeds benefiting Sister Season Fund, a non-profit founded in 2005 to provide an emergency safety net for Key West hospitality and tourism workers.
